I'm
Lilian Mina, a doctoral student from
Egypt who arrived in the United States a few weeks ago. I'm studying
Composition and TESOL in Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
I have been a teacher of English as a foreign language for about
17 years. I have taught in different disciplines to people from a
variety of backgrounds. My most teaching experience has been to
engineering undergraduates in the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo
University. i have taught there for two and a half years. I taught
Technical Writing, Communication and Presentation Skills, and Soft
Skills. I also worked as the University Core Courses Coordinator.
Besides my doctoral studies, I teach Arabic as a foreign language to
undergraduate students at IUP. This comes as part of my Graduate
Assistantship at the Critical Languages Program. I teach two levels:
Arabic I and Arabic III.
I like reading, cooking, listening to music, hanging out with my kids
and traveling.
I really believe that 'When God closes a window, somewhere He opens a
wide gate.'
