Course Description

For the next 10 weeks, this workshop is designed to introduce a wide range of technology tools that can be used to produce oral, written and on-line texts in English. Student needs will be assessed at the start of the course and a developmental plan will be created for each student. Students will learn basic and advanced functions of all Office programs (e.g., Word, Front Page, etc.) and Internet applications. 

 

Course Objectives 

In this class, students will develop skills needed to participate in classroom technology and in conversations about classroom technology. Students will increase their technology vocabulary.

 

Course Requirements

  1. You are expected to attend every class.

  2. You are expected to be ready to work when class is scheduled to begin. Any lateness will be recorded and could accumulate to a full absence.

  3. You are expected to participate in all class activities and discussions.

  4. You are expected to complete all class and homework assignments

  5. You are expected to complete the project.

  6. You are expected to complete all quizzes and tests.

 

Course Announcements

  • Student web pages are due August 3rd.  You must be present in class to show your website.
  • Vocabulary final will be given August 8th in class.  You must be in class to take this test.
