Allegheny Chapter AMS Fall 2009 Meeting:  October 17, 2009

The meeting will be held in Cogswell Hall (the Music Building) Room 102

Accommodations:  We have reserved a block of rooms for Friday, Oct. 16th at the Quality Inn and Suites (1545 Wayne Avenue, 724-349-9620).  Mention that you're attending the Allegheny Chapter meeting at IUP for the following rates: Single $75, Double $89 + tax.  This includes hot breakfast buffet on Saturday from 7-10 am.  The cut off date for reservations is Sept. 30th.

Directions to Indiana, Pennsylvania:
Rt. 422 east to Indiana or
Rt. 286 east to Indiana or
Rt. 22 east to Blairsville then Rt. 119 north to Indiana

If you're staying at the Quality Inn, Holiday Inn or Scotts Motel, take the Wayne Ave. exit (Hwy. 119 north); the hotels are all on the right.
If you're staying at the Super 8, Comfort Inn, or Hampton Inn, take the Oakland Ave. exit (Hwy. 286 east). Super 8 on left in the Wal-Mart Plaza; make a right at Indiana Springs Road for the Comfort Inn or Hampton Inn.

Directions to the IUP Campus and Parking:

If you come directly to the campus from Route 422, take the Oakland Ave. exit and turn right.  Follow the Oakland Ave. directions below.

From Wayne Ave. (Route 119) (Quality Inn, Holiday Inn, and Scotts Motel):
Go north on Wayne Ave.  Turn left turn at the third light on Rose Street. Take Rose Street to Oakland Ave. Make a Right on Oakland and follow the directions below.

From Oakland Ave. (Route 286) (Super 8, Comfort Inn, and Hampton Inn):
Proceed approximately 2 miles, past cemetery on right, until you see the university's archway.  Proceed on Oakland approximately 2 more blocks.  Large red-brick parking garage on the right at Papermill Ave. Turn right on Papermill for the garage entrance (see campus map)

Park on the top two levels of the garage in spaces above #168 (Note: spaces 1-168, between thick yellow lines, are reserved).  Saturday it is free.

Cogswell Hall (the Music Building) is just across the pedestrian bridge on the left.  As you enter Cogswell Hall, Room 102 is on the left just inside the main entrance, where the meeting will be held. 

Please note that there is a great deal of construction happening on our campus.  We have largest dormitory project in the United States underway ($200 Million).   Note that these construction areas, including some streets that run through campus, are closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.  Please check the campus map showing the meeting site and parking.
