X-Files Case
Report #191

Case Overview:
Abominable Snowman (aka Yeti, The Great Bear, or Raksha
(Sanskrit for demon)) is a tall 7-10 feet twice the size of an average humans.
He lives in the highest mountain range in the world, The Himalayas. He is an
mammal with human and gorilla-like features. He reminds people of the creature
Bigfoot, whom is found in the North American regions but they have no relation
to one another. The Abominable snowman has heavy, dark brown fur and free
standing. People have said that there is a population of 227 and they have a
lifespan of 120-130 years. It is said that they have 3 per family group and the
male mates with the female then leaves them. He is said to be a "loner". They
weigh anywhere from 200-350 pounds.
Case History: The
Abominable Snowman dates back to 1832 when a man of the name B.H. Hodgson
reported that his locally based guides spotted a
tall, bipedal creature covered with long dark hair. It is reported that the
people fled with fear. Hodgson did not see the creature so he reported it as an
orangutan.
Pro-Arguments: To
believe that the abominable snowman is real is by a video of him. The video was
taken by two hikers in 1996 in the mountains of Nepal. They captured a
gorilla-like creature walking upright up the mountain. This video can be seen
here:

There are also pictures of this creatures foot. It is
twice the size of a human's foot and not like any other animal they have seen.
Con-Arguments: A
Japanese scientist, Makoto Nebuka,
claims that this Yeti is an Himalayan Brown Bear and nothing more. He found that
the word Yeti is a regional dialect for meti which means bear. He also found
that the Ethnic Tibetan tribes worship the yeti as a mythical creature and
people started to mix reality with imagination.
Case Assessment: I
think I believe this mythical creature. There seems to be a lot of sources that
say he does exist and there is a video. It is hard to assess because there is
not a lot of video and pictures of the abominable snowman. I do believe there
are creatures that walk among us that are very secretive and mysterious. I
believe if we had the answers then life would not be as fun as it is and those
creatures know what they are doing when it comes to becoming mysterious.
