I am Basim Al Hasnan, a Composition and TESOL doctoral student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am interested in cross-cultural studies, intercultural and pragmatic competencies and the interrelation between technology, society and foreign language literacy.

I am originally from Saudi Arabia and I was born in Topeka, Kansas. I am married and have one 5 yrs old child, Mohammed. 

I like socializing with people from around the globe and discussing traditional and historical topics with them. I am really curious to explore how people from different backgrounds perceive realities as well as to discover what might lead to different perceptions.
