Feroze Q. Kasi

I am a doctoral student from Pakistan at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My major is TESOL in the department of Composition & TESOL. Before coming to the US, I taught English as a second language for 8 years in Pakistan. I came to the US in 2005 and successfully completed my MA in TESOL from New York University in 2007. From the same university, I also completed an advanced diploma certificate program in TESOL in 2008. During my studies at the US, I got interested in issues of foreign speech accents and their effect on intelligibility. Since then, I have been exploring the field of pronunciation and phonology and their relationhip to identity construction.
